Max Caster Embraces Shawn Michaels Comparison After The Acclaimed’s Split

The Acclaimed was one of AEW’s most beloved acts on television as Max Caster and Anthony Bowens ensured everyone supported them no matter what. Unfortunately, the team finally broke up during AEW Collision Maximum Carnage and now Max Caster has embraced being compared to Shawn Michaels after their split.

A fan took to Twitter and responded to Max Caster’s rant on Bowens and Billy Gunn, where he blamed Gunn’s influence for The Acclaimed’s split. The fan stated that Caster is Shawn Michaels while Anthony Bowens is Marty Jannetty, as they said, “Max Caster = Shawn Michaels Anthony Bowens = Marty Jannety.”

Max Caster clearly saw the fan’s comment and responded by saying that many fans are saying the exact same thing. Therefore, he embraced being compared to Shawn Michaels after Michaels turned on Marty Jannetty, stating, “Many people are saying this.”

It’s a tale as old as time at this point, since fans are well aware of the fact that after The Rockers broke up, Shawn Michaels went on to become one of the biggest names in pro wrestling history while Jannetty simply never lived up to his potential. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see whether this will turn out to be true for Max Caster, as it’s clear AEW will be booking a feud between Caster and Bowens in the coming weeks.
