TNA Wrestling kicked off 2025 in style with their Genesis pay-per-view. The Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas was packed full of pro wrestling fans, and they got quite a show. Josh Alexander battled Mike Santana in an I Quit match, and nobody could have predicted how that one turned out.

After a brutal match, Josh Alexander finally said that he quit, giving Mike Santana the win. After the match was over, the two shook hands in the middle of the ring, but the Walking Weapon had quite an announcement for Santana.

After Josh Alexander told Mike Santana that he is the new standard in TNA Wrestling, he said that he quit the match, but that wasn’t all. Alexander then said that he quits TNA Wrestling as well.

Alexander gave no explanation to his announcement, instead he just slid out of the ring and left. This was quite a shock for the Genesis pay-per-view.
