TNA Wrestling started 2025 with the Genesis pay-per-view at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. The TNA Wrestling Knockouts Title was on the line in a very interesting match, and an even bigger surprise was in store afterward.
Masha Slamovich faced Rosemary in a Clockwork Orange Match for the TNA Knockouts Championship. This match had a lot on the line, and the stipulation was quite unique as well.
In case you need a refresher, The Clockwork Orange House of Fun is a hardcore wrestling match with specific rules. Over time, the rules have varied, but the match typically includes the use of weapons, poles, and steel chains.
This match was brutal, as they got a staple gun involved in the contest. There were staples to the hand and armpit before the action spilled out of the ring for more violence.
There were lots of weapons in this match, including chairs, a ladder, and they also set up tables at ringside. Then Rosemary got Abyss’ nail-covered board, Janis, out from under the ring, which she hit Masha with eventually. Then Rosemary pulled out a bag full of thumbtacks, and she spread them out all over the stage near the entrance. After a back-and-forth, Rosemary nailed a spear on Masha into the tacks.
In the end, the finish of this match came after Masha Slamovich climbed up a ladder, but Rosemary shoved her off and sent her plummeting through the tables at ringside, and then Masha kicked out. They continued a bit until Masha nailed a piledriver off the second rope through a bunch of chairs that they set up to retain the title.
As Masha Slamovich was celebrating in the ring, Cora Jade’s music hit and the NXT Superstar made her way out. Jade got in the ring and made the title belt motion at her waist as Masha raised her championship up high. This marked the second big NXT surprise of the night at TNA Genesis after Fraxiom showed up during the tag team title match.
Masha Slamovich has been a fighting champion since winning the title from Jordynne Grace at Bound For Glory 2024. She even defended her championship at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII. Now, it appears that she will defend her title against Cora Jade.
