Allie Katch suffered a devastating injury just moments into her match with EFFY at The People vs. GCW, cutting the bout short and forcing an abrupt ending.

The two former tag partners were battling for a shot at Mance Warner’s GCW World Championship in the main event, but Katch’s night took a turn for the worse when she attempted a Suicide Dive and landed awkwardly, twisting her foot.

The match was immediately stopped, with EFFY being declared the winner by default. As medical staff attended to Katch, Mance Warner stormed the ring and blindsided EFFY, driving him through a table to send a message before their title match. At the same time, GCW owner Brett Lauderdale confirmed to the crowd that Katch was injured, though no specifics were given.

EFFY later addressed the situation on Twitter/X, showing concern for his former partner despite their storyline feud. “Real bummer y’all, not the way I wanted to earn this. Hope @AllieKATCH is ok despite the history. Sometimes things change and you gotta go with the flow and I feel like it isn’t earned, but I’ll do it for us both.”
