WWE went back and forth on how to handle Solo Sikoa on SmackDown, and the final decision left him walking out of his own promo.
Originally, WrestleVotes reported that Sikoa was supposed to open the show and address his Netflix Raw loss to Roman Reigns, but things didn’t go as planned. As soon as he tried to speak, the crowd rained down boos, and instead of fighting through it, Sikoa simply left.
“That Solo Sikoa segment was a hot topic of debate within creative today. The original rundown this morning had Solo opening the show to address his loss to Roman.”
That set the stage for Jacob Fatu, who delivered a highly praised in-ring promo before LA Knight hit the ring, ready for a fight. The numbers weren’t in his favor until Braun Strowman made his long-awaited return to even the odds.
WWE didn’t ignore reality when it came to Strowman’s absence. They tied it into the story, claiming The Bloodline had taken him out, but in reality, Strowman had been sidelined at the start of 2025 due to a severe illness.
Solo Sikoa walking out instead of pushing through the heat? That’s a move nobody saw coming. Whether WWE scrapped his segment last minute or he just wasn’t feeling the moment, one thing’s for sure—Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman made sure the night didn’t fall flat.
