AEW’s tag team division is about to get a serious shake-up. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate are officially challenging Private Party for the AEW Tag Team Championships on the January 22 episode of Dynamite.

MVP wasted no time making the challenge after Lashley and Benjamin secured a dominant win over Private Party and Mark Briscoe in a trios match on Collision. Benjamin even sealed the deal by pinning Marq Quen, sending a clear message that the champs are in trouble.

Lashley and Benjamin are bringing years of experience and raw power to the title picture, making them one of the most dangerous threats Private Party has ever faced. While Zay and Quen have fought hard to prove themselves as champions, The Hurt Syndicate’s ruthless efficiency might be too much to handle.

AEW Dynamite on January 22 Lineup:

  • Cope vs. PAC
  • Julia Hart vs. Jamie Hayter
  • Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne

Private Party’s reign has been all about proving they belong at the top, but now they’re up against two veterans who have held gold on every level.
