AEW fans witnessed the official end of The Acclaimed at AEW Collision Maximum Carnage, and it was Anthony Bowens who made the final call. After weeks of tension, Bowens and Max Caster finally had it out in the ring, with Caster declaring himself “The Best Wrestler Alive” and even producing paperwork to prove it.

Bowens, however, had a different take. He blasted Caster as “an edge lord piece of shit” and said he had spent five years lying to the fans. Bowens made it clear that he sees himself as “the pride of AEW” and is ready to prove it on his own.

Billy Gunn attempted to step in and talk sense into both men, but Caster wasn’t having it. He accused Gunn of only caring about hearing the fans chant his name. “It should be about me… and Anthony,” Caster insisted before demanding that Bowens choose between him and Gunn.

In a moment that will go down as the final nail in The Acclaimed’s legacy, Bowens teased a scissor gesture with Caster—only to flip him off instead. A furious Caster stormed off, vowing to prove that he’s the best wrestler alive, while Bowens scissored Gunn for one final farewell to the faction that had been one of AEW’s most beloved acts since 2020.
