D-Von Dudley worked under Vince McMahon for several years and is more than aware of how the former WWE Chairman ruled the company with an iron fist. In fact, Dudley has now criticized Vince McMahon for making other wrestlers feel small while berating them.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, D-Von Dudley shared his thoughts on Vince McMahon, revealing what he didn’t like about McMahon. Dudley noted that one thing he didn’t like was how McMahon would get very angry at talent and make them feel small.

Dudley explained that if someone made a mistake, they knew they were in trouble and had to face Vince McMahon, which no one wanted to do. He described it as a “walk of shame,” where McMahon would berate them to the point of making them feel like a child, despite being grown adults.

D-Von Dudley also compared Vince to a puppeteer, saying that he had a way of controlling emotions—he could make someone happy or sad, depending on how he felt about them at the moment.

“In terms of Vince McMahon, some of the things I didn’t like were that when you did something wrong, you knew your ass was in trouble, and you had to face him. Nobody wanted to walk that hall of shame or listen to Vince berate them. It probably makes you feel like a child. You’re a grown-ass man, and yet you’re getting berated like there’s no tomorrow. He makes you feel that small. He can do that. He has this way—it’s like a puppeteer. He can make you happy, he can make you sad. It all depends on how you make him feel.”

Dudley’s comments add to the growing list of wrestlers who have talked about McMahon’s leadership style, describing a demanding and high-pressure backstage environment. However, despite the challenges, Dudley will always respect McMahon for giving him the opportunity to become a big name in the wrestling business.
