WWE is turning up the heat in their rivalry with AEW, ramping up counterprogramming efforts in 2025. Peacock recently revealed the dates for two upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event shows, and one of them is directly going head-to-head with AEW’s All In: Texas on July 12, 2025.
Peacock’s announcement confirmed that the July 12 show will air at 8 PM ET, the same time AEW’s All In: Texas is set to take over Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This direct clash follows WWE’s recent strategy of scheduling events to compete with AEW, like when they held a live event in the same city as AEW’s Worlds End pay-per-view last year.
This move comes as no surprise to fans who’ve seen WWE intensify their efforts to rival AEW’s growing influence. While AEW fans prepare for All In: Texas, WWE is banking on their Saturday Night’s Main Event to capture attention and keep fans engaged in their product.
Before the August showdown, WWE has another Saturday Night’s Main Event show planned for May 24, 2025, giving fans plenty to look forward to. Even sooner, the next installment of Saturday Night’s Main Event is set for January 25, 2025, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
This head-to-head battle raises questions about how the rivalry between WWE and AEW will impact fans. Is this a bold move to intensify competition, or could it oversaturate the wrestling landscape?
