AEW works hard to make every episode of Dynamite exciting, and the December 11th edition is no different as it’s the special Winter is Coming edition of the show. This week’s show will feature more action in the Continental Classic tournament, along with various storylines for fans to enjoy.
On the December 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly were revealed as the final two competitors in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal. Their hard-fought journey now leads to a one-on-one match at the special Winter Is Coming episode this week. The winner will earn the right to challenge MJF for the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring at AEW World’s End on December 28, so we’ll have to see who will come out on top in the end.
Ricochet will face Brodie King in a highly anticipated Gold League match in the Continental Classic tournament. King comes into the match with momentum after defeating Darby Allin, setting the stage for an epic match that will feature high-flying and hard-hitting action.
In the Blue League of the Continental Classic, Will Ospreay will take on Claudio Castagnoli. Both men are coming off victories, with Ospreay defeating Juice Robinson and Castagnoli beating Ricochet, making this match a must-watch for fans.
Mariah May will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Mina Shirakawa on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Their feud started after Shirakawa laid out May at Full Gear after May tried to attack her first and their feud has been building up since then, so we’ll have to see whether Shirakawa stands a chance against May.
An epic tag team match is set as Jon Moxley teams with PAC to take on Jay White and Orange Cassidy. The tension between Moxley’s Death Riders and White escalated following Moxley’s post-match ambush on White after White’s victory over PAC. Cassidy intervened and helped out White, making it clear both of them are currently working together to take out the Death Riders once and for all.
