The Survivor Series Premium Live Event didn’t turn out to be a great night for Bronson Reed as he ended up suffering a devastating ankle injury after performing a splash from the top of the WarGames cage. Unfortunately, it appears that he is expected to miss WrestleMania 41 after suffering the injury.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Bronson Reed’s injury status. He noted that people in WWE do not expect Bronson Reed to return before WrestleMania 41 due to his upcoming foot surgery.
In addition to Bronson Reed, it was noted that Tonga Loa is also expected to be out of action for around 7-8 months after undergoing bicep surgery. Both absences will significantly impact their respective storylines.
“Bronson Reed is having foot surgery. He’s going to be out for months. Yeah, long time. I asked somebody there, and they said that he’s not expected back for WrestleMania. Expected to be a long time. And Tonga Loa, I had figured seven, eight months out, that’s usually the thing for bicep surgery.“
Bronson Reed’s absence is already impacting WWE’s plans. Drew McIntyre returned earlier than expected on Monday night to help fill the gap, and the company changed up its post-holiday live events. Reed was initially scheduled to face Seth Rollins in steel cage matches, but those matchups have been adjusted.
Reed had been on an impressive run recently, earning a reputation as one of WWE’s most exciting performers due to his sheer physicality. While this injury is a setback, fans remain optimistic about his recovery and eagerly await his eventual return, but it’s simply unfortunate he will be missing WrestleMania 41 next year.
