Jimmy Uso made a surprising return to assist Roman Reigns, helping to secure a victory for the Original Tribal Chief at WWE Bad Blood. However, Afa Anoa’i Jr. (formerly known as Manu) weighed in on this storyline decision during his review of the event on Sportskeeda’s Enter The Bloodline.
Afa acknowledged Jimmy’s return as deserved and fitting within the story but also pointed out that this could have been an opportunity to debut a new member of the legendary Anoa’i family.
According to Afa, with the large number of wrestlers from the Anoa’i family, introducing a new cousin instead of Jimmy Uso might have added a fresh twist to the ongoing Bloodline saga.
“I feel like Jimmy’s return could have been any cousin. Not to take anything away from Jimmy or anything like that because it was deserved and it was right. But I feel like that could have been a new cousin introduced into the game at the spot, you know what I mean? There are so many different ways to introduce the Samoans where it makes sense.”
Afa also commented on the Anoa’i family’s vast legacy in professional wrestling, emphasizing that the family has many members yet to be showcased. He added humorously that with their large family/
“It’s a swerve; I mean, it’s like one of those things. You’ve got to leave everybody guessing, right? You can’t make it so obvious, and the good thing about our family is, you know, it’s a shoot. There are a million of us [laughs]. We can come from any direction. You never know who, you know?”
With The Rock’s return at Bad Blood as well, Afa Anoa’i Jr. believes that WWE has multiple avenues to explore within the Bloodline’s storyline, especially with such a deep roster of Samoan talent.
