Big changes are coming to WWE Raw in 2025! The long-running show, which debuted in January 1993, will officially leave traditional TV behind and stream exclusively on Netflix starting in January 2025. This marks the first time in its 30-plus-year history that Raw will be off cable television, signaling a major shift for WWE.
Speaking at Bloomberg’s New York Power Players event, WWE’s top star, Roman Reigns, shared his thoughts on the move. “I think this is the biggest deal of all time, to be honest,” Reigns said. “We’ve been on linear television for decades, leading the way in episodic programming. To now take WWE Raw to Netflix is unheard of. Seeing how much we’ve grown since 2020, when everything changed, makes this move even more exciting. It’s a huge opportunity to showcase what we’ve mastered in live TV.”
Reigns also hinted at the possibility of WWE pushing the boundaries a bit more on Netflix, given the platform’s flexibility compared to traditional television.
WWE Raw will continue airing on USA Network until the end of 2024, giving fans time to prepare for the transition. As WWE steps into a new era of streaming, it’s clear this move has the potential to reshape not only WWE programming but the way fans experience live sports entertainment moving forward.
