Mercedes Mone Confirms Dating Situation Following Divorce Announcement

Mercedes Mone is the current TBS Champion as well as NJPW Women’s STRONG Champion, but her personal life made headlines recently after it was confirmed she filed for divorce. With that said, Mone has now confirmed her current dating situation after her divorce.

Mercedes Mone and Sarath Ton have officially filed for divorce, with the proceedings having started already. The couple got married on August 4, 2016, but they would ultimately grow apart over the years.

Mercedes Mone would even reveal that they had actually separated back in December 2020. Naturally, fans have now wondered whether Mercedes Mone is ready to get back into the dating scene following her divorce.

In her newsletter, Mercedes elaborated on the situation and addressed questions about her readiness to date. She explained that the public attention surrounding her divorce has made her more determined to focus on herself. She stated that she is not ready to start dating yet and is particularly not interested in dating anyone from a rival promotion.

“My divorce hit the press this week. Like I said in a clip from my Moné Talks show, it made me feel ready to be free to start this next chapter in my life and to solely focus on ME. I can embrace MY truths now and not have to hide that part of my life.

And to those asking, no, I am NOT ready to start dating yet. And I definitely cannot see myself dating anyone from a Rival Promotion! Right now, this year is the year of WORKING and FIGHTING! I want this year to be ALL HUSTLE and ALL FLOW! I feel like when the right person comes to me, I’ll know it, but right now, my head is just so focused on work at AEW, achieving what Tony and I discussed, and all my goals.”

Mercedes Mone is a busy woman and she is keeping herself engaged with professional wrestling as well as her other ventures outside the realm of wrestling. Regardless, only time will tell whether Mone will decide she wants to date again, as she feels she wants to focus on herself for the time being.
