In light of recent events, there has been growing concern about Bobby Lashley’s future in WWE, as there are indications he might be preparing to leave the company once again.
Earlier this year, The Almighty sustained an injury during training, which led to him being pulled from the WWE King of the Ring tournament. Since then, he has not appeared on WWE television, causing fans to speculate about his status with the company.
According to a latest update by Fightful, Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract will expire this weekend. Moreover, since the news of his contract status emerged, Lashley has also been discussed backstage at AEW.
Amidst his WWE contract nearing its end, GCW General Manager and popular Indie star Matt Cardona, took to his X call out Lashley, hinting at either signing him to GCW citing his upcoming free agency or battling him inside the squared circle.
“I WANT LASHLEY.”
Furthermore, reports have indicated that Bobby Lashley has potential opportunities outside of professional wrestling. So it remains to be seen whether Lashley would choose to explore that or join a different wrestling promotion, with Cardona giving him the open invitation to do so.
