AEW Dynamite on June 5th will witness Swerve Strickland defending his coveted AEW World Title against none other than Roderick Strong.

This matchup was solidified during the latest episode of AEW Collision on June 1st, as Strong voiced his contention for being the ultimate contender in the Casino Gauntlet on the preceding Dynamite. Proposing to Tony Khan that he should square off against Swerve for the championship, Strong’s plea found favor with Khan, who promptly granted him the title opportunity.

Meanwhile, the Casino Gauntlet on Dynamite crowned Will Ospreay as the victor, setting him up to challenge for the AEW World Title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Ospreay’s triumph over Strong at AEW Double or Nothing secured him the AEW International Title.

Here’s the current lineup for 6/5 AEW Dynamite:

  • MJF makes his anticipated return
  • Mariah May takes on Saraya
  • AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) defends against Roderick Strong

Ringside News will be providing comprehensive coverage of AEW Dynamite, kicking off at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday
