Maxwell Jacob Friedman, popularly known as MJF, made a dramatic return at tonight’s pay-per-view show, AEW Double or Nothing, sending shockwaves through the AEW landscape and declaring a huge commitment that was fired at.

After the match between Will Ospreay and Roderick Strong, Adam Cole appeared to discuss his recovery and reintroduce his Devil Mask. Just then, a video was played revealing artifacts belonging to a long-absent AEW star, revealed to be MJF.

Following that, to everyone’s surprise, MJF returned to AEW after nearly six months. He entered the ring, seemingly to reconcile with Cole, but instead delivered a low blow, flooring him. As Cole was helped from the ring, MJF declared his loyalty to AEW, revealing a new tattoo featuring a ‘Bet on Yourself’ banner and an AEW-branded poker chip.

However, WWE NXT’s Edris Enofe, who once trolled fans with a fake WWE tattoo, took to his X to fire shots to MJF’s tattoo that symbolized his commitment to AEW in the long run to come.

“Mine looked better 🤷🏾‍♂️.”

Regardless of this jab taken by a superstar way behind the caliber that MJF is at, the AEW fans eagerly await his next move as he aims to reclaim his place at the top of AEW and become a top fixture for the company.
