The main event set for tonight’s edition of WWE NXT saw No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey defend his NXT Heritage Cup against the dynamic leader of the D’Angelo family, Tony D’Angelo.

The match was contested under the regular format of the NXT Heritage Cup which saw a high-stakes match with D’ Angelo family right by him at ringside while Charlie went in alone.

It was an exciting showdown right from the get-go and gave the challenger D’Angelo the momentum at the start when he scored the first pinfall in Round 1 of the match. However, Charlie Dempsey would back right back by getting the next pinfall tying the bout after a series of time-limit draws in the previous rounds.

The match came down to the fifth round and despite interference No Quarter Catch Crew faction members Damon Kemp and Myles Borne also emerged back on TV, but it was enough to protect Charlie Dempsey’s reign fell at the hands of Tony D’ Angelo to score the pinfall and become the new NXT Heritage Cup Champion with the show ending in his celebration with the D’Angelo Family.
