A new landscape of WWE has ushered following the aftermath of the WWE Draft 2024 with two huge title matches announced for the upcoming WWE PLE, King and Queen of the Ring.

Firstly, The Man Becky Lynch came around to Hartford, Connecticut for tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW for an in-ring interview with Michael Cole. Cole began by asking about Becky’s latest appearance at the Kentucky Derby followed by reflecting on the revamped women’s roster on RAW.

The current WWE Women’s World Champion name-dropped a few top prospects in her view such as Isla Dawn, and Alba Fyre, and even showed respect to her Irish peer, Lyra Valkyria despite dropping the NXT title to her last year. Just as Becky mentioned those women, Liv Morgan made her entrance and confronted The Man.

Morgan was frustrated that Lynch did not mention her among those women, reminding her of her own accolades and bringing up the title match Becky Lynch had promised her. Lynch lived up to her word and gave the title shot to Morgan at the upcoming King and Queen of the Ring event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Following an intense verbal back-and-forth, they were confronted by Damage CTRL who surrounded them inside the ring. Just as it looked like they were going to form a temporary alliance, Liv Morgan snuck out of the ring, leaving Becky Lynch alone to deal with all three members of the faction. However, Lynch would find backup in Lyra Valkyria who arrived at the scene to fend off the attack, just before her Queen of the Ring first round with Dakota Kai.

On the other hand, following the end of the match between Chad Gable and Bronson Reed earlier that saw Reed destroy both Gable and current WWE Intercontinental champion Sami Zayn, Zayn announced that he would defend his title against both me at WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE to leave both men in his rearview and put an end to this heated tension prevailing for weeks.
