The New Day, comprising Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E was regarded as one of the most beloved WWE factions of all time. However, Big E had to exit the group following his career-ending injury back in 2022 but managed to reunite with them for sporadic appearances.

Since Big E’s departure, The New Day was represented by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. But following the events of last week’s RAW, it seems that now it is only Kofi Kingston who is left alone among the three moving forward for a while.

In a backstage segment on tonight’s edition of RAW, Kofi Kingston announced that Xavier Woods was supposed to compete in the King of the Ring tournament this year and possibly become the two-time winner following his triumph in 2022.

However, Woods got injured at the hands of The Ring General GUNTHER in their one-on-one match last week on RAW. Xavier was seen favoring his leg with Kingston revealing that his tag team partner would be out of action for an indefinite timeline. Following that, Kingston stated that he was laser-focused on his own participation in the aforementioned tournament, competing against WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at an upcoming WWE liver event and looking to dedicate a victory to the fallen Xavier Woods.
