The lineage and history of the Anoa’i family is unparalleled and storied with members of the clan defining various periods of WWE. Recently, current RAW star Jey Uso’s body art outlined homage to one of their legendary stars, Umaga.

Main Event Jey Uso is known to have his entire upper and lower body tattooed as a sign of Samoan heritage much like his other family members like Roman Reigns, The Rock, and his twin, Jimmy Uso.

Interestingly, one of the body art on his left leg pays tribute to his cousin-removed uncle and WWE Legend Umaga. Jey has a design made that is reminiscent of Umaga’s face with his tattooed look and braids, the same look he had for his character during his final run in the company.

After years of laying carnage and dominance over the WWE in the mid and late 2000s, Umaga suddenly passed away in 2009 due to a heart attack. Coincidentally it was also the same day that his Jimmy and Jey Uso signed their developmental contracts with FCW, WWE’s former training territory. Jey is also set to challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Backlash France after winning Fatal 4-Way to become the No.1 contender.

Despite Umaga not being presented, Jey Uso and the other Bloodline members proudly carry his legacy forward and present it in their own ways to keep his spirit and contributions alive in the wrestling world.
