Tonight’s edition of NXT Spring Breakin was already a highly anticipated show by the fans. But after General Manager Ava’s blockbuster announcement, the show would be etched in the history of the Black and Gold brand.

Ava came to the ring to announce that the previously introduced NXT Women’s North American Championship will crown its first titleholder at the historic NXT Battleground pay-per-view on Sunday, June 9 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The General Manager continued that they would scout for 12 of the best stars from the NXT women’s division and those women would compete in qualifying matches with 6 women moving to NXT Battleground to compete in a high-stakes ladder match to become the inaugural champion.

The announcement led to multiple stars such as Sol Ruca, Arianna Grace, Jaida Parker, and even the main roster star, Michin to come out to lay their claim for the opportunity. Right after, a brawl broke out with more female stars from the roster joining the fray as the chance to create history hangs in the balance at NXT Battleground next month.
