Chad Gable and Sami Zayn competed in a match for the Intercontinental Championship. Although Gable put up a strong fight, he was unable to claim the title from Zayn. After the match, Gable’s frustration boiled over, leading him to turn heel on Zayn. Interestingly enough, Kurt Angle has now addressed Chad Gable copying his characteristics in WWE.

Chad Gable, often regarded as one of the most underutilized talents in WWE, has experienced a career that has seen him primarily playing a babyface role. In recent years, he has been known for bringing comedic elements to the show through his work with the Alpha Academy. Despite his comedic portrayal, Gable’s in-ring skills and technical abilities have consistently stood out, leading many to believe he has the potential for greater things within WWE.

During his appearance on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle discussed the similarities he noticed between himself and Chad Gable, particularly in Gable’s heel persona. Angle highlighted that the facial expressions, move set, and other mannerisms used by Gable reminded him of his own in-ring style and character when he wrestled.

Kurt Angle commented on the noticeable parallels, remarking that Gable’s transformation into a heel evoked memories of his own career.

“Well, listen. The Kurt Angle formula worked the first time. The Kurt Angle formula will work today. I have noticed; I’ve been watching Chad and he’s doing a lot of actions that Kurt Angle used to do, different characteristics, different facial expressions, taking off his singlet before he does his finish. He has been doing the Angle slam and the Ankle lock. I feel like this is a rebirth of Kurt Angle.”

Chad Gable even recently noted that fans are finally seeing the real version of him.Gable’s renewed focus signals more intense and driven approach to his wrestling career, with a commitment to reshaping his stable and achieving individual success. After all, Chad Gable will likely form a new team with The Creed Brothers soon enough.
