WWE Title Match Contract Signing Announced for 4/26 WWE SmackDown

The WWE Universe is in store to witness one of the biggest dream matches in the history of professional wrestling under the Paul “Triple H” Levesque era with the bout scheduled to be made official next week on SmackDown.

On tonight’s edition of SmackDown, the winners of their respective triple threat matches last week on the blue brand, AJ Styles and LA Knight squared off against each other in a No.1 Contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Backlash France.

Following a hard-fought battle, it was The Phenomenal One who triumphed over The Megastar in their WrestleMania rematch encounter and earned the title opportunity against the new champion, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes in Lyon, France.

Witnessing the events that went down on SmackDown, Cody Rhodes sent out a message from WWE’s recent event in London acknowledging Styles’ worth as a veteran of the business and looking forward to their clash at WWE Backlash.

Following his address, it was announced that both Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles would make their appearance next week on SmackDown, the night of WWE Draft 2024, for the contract signing of their match as WWE Universe gears up for one of the most highly anticipated matches of all time.
