Sonya Deville is known to be a striking presence on WWE television programming both inside the squared circle and even outside it donning the role of a backstage executive that she also excelled in.

However, Deville suffered an ACL tear during the July 28 edition of SmackDown, leading to setback in her WWE career. This came shortly after she won her first title and had to vacate it to focus on recovering from the injury.

Amidst undergoing rehab process, Deville decided to pay homage to an iconic scene from the popular American TV Show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S starring Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Le Blanc, and the late Matthew Perry.

The former WWE Women’s tag team champion took to her X to drop a photo of posing in an empty garage, claiming to be stuck there with fellow WWE superstar Carmella, in a mirror of the iconic scene from F.R.I.E.N.D.S where Perry’s character Chandler gets stuck in an ATM vestibule with popular model and actor Jill Goodacre playing herself.

Additionally, Sonya Deville recently admitted that she still doesn’t fully trust her ACL. Despite this, she shared that she felt better about her progress after doing jumps and agility footwork drills. She expressed confidence in her recovery, though she acknowledged the initial daunting feeling of these exercises due to her healing ACL.

While recovering, Sonya Deville also got married to her long-time partner, Toni Cassano. With so much going on in her life, fans eagerly await her return to the ring, as her absence has been felt in the WWE.
