One of AEW’s biggest acquisitions, the world-class wrestling star, Will Ospreay took an aim at WWE CCO Triple H following his recent comments about hiring talent but left out one more person who was also supposed to be hit in the crossfire.

Triple H, speaking on the Pat McAfee Show as part of WWE World, discussed his approach to hiring new talent stating that his roster had no place for people who were unwilling to put in the work and were afraid of working tough schedules.

In response to The Game’s remarks, Ospreay appeared on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and took personal shots at him. Despite initial reports suggesting Ospreay had no involvement in the promo, it has since been clarified that the idea for the promo was Ospreay’s own. He was comfortable with delivering the promo and collaborated with the creative team on it.

According to the recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that there was consideration to include a shot at former AEW star CM Punk but the idea was dropped at the last moment. Given the nature of AEW Dynamite, many felt it would be excessive.

“This was not Tony Khan going ‘I can’t stand WWE I just wanna devote two segments to running those assholes down’ right, that didn’t happen. In fact, one of Will Ospreay’s lines about Punk, they told him no don’t do it.”

Apart from this, Will Ospreay is scheduled to face Bryan Danielson in a dream showdown at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view on April 21 in St. Louis Missouri. This highly anticipated matchup between two skilled performers promises to be an exciting highlight of the event with fans eagerly awaiting the outcome of this intense showdown.
