It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! AEW Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the April 13, 2024 episode.

AEW Collision Lineup (4/13/2024):

  • Tag Team Match: Blackpool Combat Club (“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Don Callis Family (Powerhouse Hobbs and ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher)

  • AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match: AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. AZM

AEW Collision Results (4/13/2024):

The show opens up with Tony Schiavone and “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard welcoming us. They discuss a video footage recapping Jon Moxley defeating Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the NJPW Windy City Riot event. Schiavone then says Moxley will appear this coming Wednesday on Dynamite. Schiavone and Menard then runs through the Collision lineup.

We then head to the back, where “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli cuts a promo. Danielson acknowledges Moxley’s championship win and then notes that Castagnoli will face “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay on Wednesday. Danielson then says he will do the same at AEW Dynasty. Danielson and Castagnoli then took issue with Don Callis saying that he wanted Powerhouse Hobbs and Kyle Fletcher to hurt them during tonight’s main event. Castagnoli then says it’s not the work people see, it’s the work they put in behind the scenes to make what they do look so easy. Danielson then says violence is their specialty. Danielson also says they couldn’t be hurt and they wouldn’t be beat tonight.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: House Of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews) vs. Dante Martin, Action Andretti and Matt Sydal

The match starts off with Buddy Matthews and Action Andretti. Matthews grabs the arm Andretti and twists it. Andretti then reverses it as Matthews tries to counter the hold. Andretti then grabs the wrist of Matthews, but Matthews takes Andretti down and puts him in a headlock. Andretti then breaks the hold and comes back with a big dropkick on Matthews. Matthews then sends Andretti out of the ring. Sydal is then tagged in and he takes Black down who was tagged in as well. Andretti then pushes Black as he tags in King. King then takes Andretti down and hits a double clothesline on Martin and Sydal. King then hits a chop across the chest of Andretti. Andretti then goes for a spring board, but is caught and is hit with a kick by Black.

King then sends Andretti to the outside and then sends him back in the ring. Matthews is in the ring now and he hits Andretti with a running pump kick and gets a two count. Andretti then tags Sydal into the match. Black is tagged in as well and is hit with a kick from Sydal. Black and Matthews now double team Sydal.

Matthews then nails the back of Sydal. Sydal then knocks Matthews down and Matthews rolls to the floor. Both men are down as the referee begins the ten count. Both men are back in and Martin hits Black with a crossbody. Dante goes up top, but he slips as King distracts him. Black is up now, but Martin kicks him and covers him, but Black kicks out at two. Martin tags Andretti in and he picks Black up, but is hit with a knee. Andretti now dives through the ropes and he takes Matthews out on the outside. Andretti then hits Black with a moonsault on the floor and King is tagged in. Black then kicks Sydal in the back of his head and King knocks Andretti down, but Martin comes off the top rope to stop the pin attempt from King. King is now triple teamed. King then takes Sydal out. King then hits Sydal with a cannonball in the corner and gets the win.

We then get video footage from Dynamite of AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm throwing champagne in the face of Thunder Rosa and Mariah May beating Anna Jay down, which was followed by Mina Shirakawa making her way out to save May and kissing May.

We then head to the back, where AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mariah May and Luther were interviewed by Lexi Nair. Storm tells May there has been no greater love than these two lips and then kissed her cheek. Storm also talks about her match with AZM.

We then get a recap of an argument between “Lionheart” Chris Jericho and FTW Champion HOOK. Jericho sees Taz backstage and talks with him about how he wants to explain things with HOOK. Jericho then says HOOK won’t return his calls. Taz then says he will try to talk to HOOK, but HOOK is his own man. It is then announced that this coming Wednesday on Dynamite Taz will hold a meeting between Jericho and HOOK. Tony Schiavone then discusses HOOK’s match against Shane Taylor for his FTW Championship later tonight at the Battle of the Belts X special immediately following this episode of Collision.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Shane Taylor Promotions’ Lee Moriarty vs. Katsuyori Shibata

The match starts off with Shibata taking Lee down and going for the cover, but Lee kicks out at two. Lee then kicks Shibata and takes him down, then puts Shibata in a headlock. Shibata then gets out of the hold and grabs the arm of Lee, but Lee reverses the hold. Shibata then grabs the leg of Lee. Shibata then has Lee in the Ankle Loc, but Lee makes his way to the ropes to break the hold. Shibata then goes to grab the leg of Lee, but Lee rolls to the floor. Ogogo then lands a punch on Shibata as the ref was distracted by Shane Taylor. Lee then rolls in the ring, while Shibata is still on the floor. The referee then begins the ten count and Shibata is able to roll in the ring. Lee then covers Shibata, but only gets a two count.

Lee then hits a chop on Shibata. Shibata then hits Lee with right hands, jabs and chops as Lee falls to the mat. Shibata then hits Lee with a running drop kick in the corner. Shibata then hits Lee with a snap suplex, then goes for a pin, but Lee kicks out. Shibata then puts Lee in a submission, but Lee makes his way to the ropes to break the hold. Shibata then picks Lee up and drops him to the mat. Lee then responds with a knee lift on Shibata. Shibata then hits Lee with a pump kick. Lee then looks to hit a suplex on Shibata, but Shibata reveres with a hard kick and gets the win.

After the match, Shane Taylor makes his way down the ring and takes Shibata out. HOOK’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. HOOK takes Lee out and Taylor stares HOOK down. Taylor then walks away as these two will meet later tonight on Battle of the Belts X for the FTW Title.

We then get a video package of ROH Women’s World Champion Athena defending her title at ROH Supercard of Honor and Billie Starkz winning the ROH Women’s TV Title.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing Athena and Billie Starkz. Athena says she is the best champion in wrestling and she will make an example out of Red Velvet at Battle of the Belts.

Lexy Nair is then backstage with the Undisputed Kingdom. Lexy asks about Wardlow giving the group success. AEW International Champion Roderick Strong interrupts her and says the credit should go to him and later tonight he will give Rocky Romero the beating of a lifetime on Battle of the Belts.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Daniel Garcia vs. Angelico

The match starts off with Angelico putting Garcia in a submission hold, but Garcia breaks the hold and takes Angelico down. Garcia then knocks Angelico down and looks to pin him, but Angelico kicks out at two. Garcia then hits Angelico with a leg sweep. Garcia then sends Angelico to the ropes. Angelico then responds with a kick on the side of Garcia’s leg. Angelico then has Garcia in the corner and hits him with a boot to his face. Angelico then picks Garcia up and drops him. Garcia hen grabs the legs of Angelico and puts him in a figure-four, but Angelico reverses it and Garcia turns it back around. Angelico and Garcia then rolls to the ropes to break the hold. Angelico then kicks Garcia in the back of his knee. Angelico then hits Garcia with a right hand. Garcia then responds and takes Angelico down. Garcia then hits a suplex on Angelico. Garcia then hits Angelico with a forearm shot. Garcia then slaps Angelico and hits him with a belly to back suplex. Garcia then puts Angelico in a submission and Angelico quickly taps out.

We then get a video package of “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada calling out PAC and FTR making their way down to the ring to make the save, but were taken out by the Young Bucks.

We then head to the back, where PAC thanks Okada for hitting him over the head with a steel chair. PAC then says he has a headache to remind everyone who he is. PAC then says he is not flavor of the month. PAC then tells Okada he is crap and he is better. PAC then says next Sunday he is going to relish the opportunity in front of the entire world.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match.

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match: AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. AZM

The match starts off with Storm hitting AZM with a series of kicks. AZM then fakes a punch and stomps on the foot of Storm. AZM then takes Storm down with a leg sweep and follows it up with a drop kick. AZM then hits Storm with a boot to her face and stomps on her head, then follows it up with double stomps on her gut. AZM then sends Storm shoulder first to the steel steps. AZM then kicks Storm in the face.

Storm then slaps AZM Both women now exchange strikes and AZM hits Storm with a spin kick to her head. AZM hits another spin kick on Storm. AZM then charges at Storm, but Storm grabs AZM and suplexes her. AZM then hits a shotgun drop kick to the side of Storm’s head from the top rope, but only gets a two count. Storm then responds by dropping AZM on her head and goes for the cover, but only gets a two count. AZM then rolls up Storm and Storm kicks out at two. Storm then hits a German Suplex on AZM, then follows it up with a hip attack and gets the win.

After the match, Mariah May makes her way out with champagne and Toni Storm hugs May. Both women then head to the back as Luther follows.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing Red Velvet about her match. Velvet says she is high profile and lets stir up the pot. Velvet also says she will show everyone why it was a mistake to come into her house.

Mark Briscoe is now shown backstage and he says House of Black tries to strike fear into men. Briscoe then says the House of Black need to be very afraid at Dynasty.

Tony Schiavone then welcomes Thunder Rosa to the stage. Rosa starts off by thanking the fans for making her comeback so special and for making AEW what it is today. Rosa then tells Deonna Purrazzo that she didn’t need her help to win the Women’s Title. Rosa then says she didn’t need help to get her degree, earn her citizenship or win the title for the first time. Rosa then says she thought Toni Storm was like her, but Storm has lost her mind. Rosa then says a part of her died when she had to vacate the title, but she will break every bone in her body to get it back for her people. Rosa then tells Storm to kiss her clone goodbye because she was going to drag her soul to hell.

Deonna Purrazzo was now shown backstage. Purrazzo starts off by saying she will not help Rosa if Rosa doesn’t want it, but she staked her claim for the title because she felt that Toni Storm didn’t embody what it meant to be a World Champion. Purrazzo then says if she couldn’t get Toni Storm, she might as well get the other. Purrazzo then challenged Mariah May to a match next week and threatened to break her arm.

Tony Schiavone then announces from the commentary desk that the AEW World Tag Team Title match at Dynasty between FTR and The Young Bucks will now be a Ladder Match.

We then head to the back with Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs. Fletcher says that Will Ospreay will make easy work of Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson over the next week, while Hobbs makes it clear that they were ready to pay the fines for what they were going to do to them tonight.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: Blackpool Combat Club (“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Don Callis Family (Powerhouse Hobbs and ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher)

The match starts off with all four men brawling. The action then spills to the floor as Bryan hits Kyle with a running knee. Claudio and Hobbs then brawl up on the stage area. Claudio then takes Hobbs out and he and Bryan double team Fletcher on the floor. Danielson and Claudio then double team Hobbs on the floor. Danielson then sends Fletcher over the barricade. Hobbs and Claudio are now in the ring and both men are exchanging shots. Claudio then picks Hobbs up and slams him down. Claudio then stomps on the midsection of Hobbs. Claudio then tries to pick Hobbs up. Claudio is then able to get Hobbs up on the top rope as Danielson is tagged in and he hits Hobbs with a knee. Claudio is then tagged in and Hobbs rolls to the corner and tags Fletcher in. Fletcher then who on Claudio and Claudio responds with an elbow and nails Fletcher with right hands. Fletcher then sends Claudio to the floor. Fletcher then takes Claudio down.

Claudio and Fletcher are now down. Fletcher then puts a headlock on Claudio. Claudio then picks Fletcher up and drops him. Danielson then makes the tag and he takes Fletcher down and sends Hobbs to the floor. Danielson then kicks Fletcher in the chest repeatedly, then kicks Hobbs. Danielson then jumps over the ropes as Hobbs catches Danielson on the outside. Danielson then gets out of the hold and sends Hobbs into the ring post and then hits him with a running knee. Fletcher then takes Danielson down, only to be taken out by Claudio. Claudio then sends Hobbs into the barricade and then sends him over the barricade with big uppercut. Fletcher and Claudio are now fighting on the outside.

All four men are back up and Fletcher and Danielson exchange shots. Claudio then picks Hobbs up and hits him with a Death Valley Driver. Claudio then covers Hobbs for two. Claudio then charges at Hobbs. Claudio then nails Hobbs with a lariat and covers Hobbs, but Hobbs kicks out. Fletcher then trips Claudio and Hobbs picks Claudio up and hits him with the world strongest slam. Hobbs then covers Claudio, but Bryan breaks it up. Hobbs then grabs a chair, but the referee takes it from him as Bryan kicks Hobbs. Fletcher then dives to the outside taking out Danielson. Fletcher and Hobbs then clear the announce table. Claudio is on top of the table and takes Fletcher out and then sends him into the ring. Claudio then drops Fletcher face first and gets the win.

After the match, Konosuke Takeshita blindsides the BCC and helps his Callis Family members lay out the BCC. Takeshita then hits Danielson with a brainbuster on the ramp before Castagnoli backs them off with a chair and the show comes to a close.
