Tatum Paxley has been one of the mainstays of NXT television for a while now and she certainly has a bright future ahead of herself. She turned heel on NXT this week and it appears it was not rehearsed.

Just hours before the kickoff of WrestleMania 40, NXT Stand & Deliver unfolded, featuring Roxanne Perez clinching the NXT Women’s Championship from Lyra Valkryia.

In the aftermath, Perez made an appearance at the beginning of last night’s April 9 NXT episode, prompting Valkyria to step forward and demand a rematch.

However, Valkyria’s hopes were dashed when Tatum Paxley, previously portrayed as an ardent supporter of Valkyria, unexpectedly turned heel. Paxley betrayed Valkyria by assaulting her at ringside, effectively sidelining her from the title rematch she sought.

According to a report from Fightful, Tatum Paxley’s heel turn was not planned in advance and was kept confidential, known only to those involved in NXT’s opening segment.

”Tatum Paxley’s heel turn was not rehearsed and was kept to those involved in NXT’s opening segment.”

We will have to wait and see how Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria’s feud will continue to develop in the coming weeks, as the heel turn was definitely an unexpected one.
