The long-standing tensions and animosity between former LWO members, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar, came to a head at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on WrestleMania 40 Saturday. The explosive tag team match featured Andrade and Dominik Mysterio on their respective sides, adding fuel to the fiery rivalry. Jason Kelce made an appearance on the show and he has now reflected on it.

As the match reached its climax, two massive masked individuals ambushed Dominik Mysterio, incapacitating him and providing Rey Mysterio with the opportunity to execute the 619 followed by a senton, securing a monumental victory at The Show of Shows. The masked behemoths then entered the ring to celebrate with the LWO, revealing themselves to be Philadelphia Eagles’ players, Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson.

While speaking in a backstage interview after their triumphant appearance, Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson commented on their debut. Kelce made it clear they weren’t going to let Dominik Mysterio beat his father.

”We grew up watching Rey, just such huge fans and we couldn’t Dom get the better of dad quite yet. ”
