WWE has been on a spree to smash records and achieve milestone after milestone on the road to WrestleMania 40 with every show they produced and the go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown for The Show of Shows was no different.

Emanating from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia with an extended seating arrangement made to accustom nearly 17,000 WWE fans in attendance and a smaller entrance stage, SmackDown achieved an incredible milestone.

As announced by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H’ Levesque on his X, tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was the highest-grossing show in the rich history of the blue brand.

“Another day, another record set on the Road to #WrestleMania XL. Tonight’s #SmackDown at Philadelphia’s @WellsFargoCtr was the highest-grossing show in the history of the blue brand.”

WWE achieving a massive record for one of its flagship shows builds huge momentum for them as the road to WrestleMania 40 culminates tomorrow and the day after at the Lincoln Financial Field for what is billed, as the biggest edition of The Showcase of the Immortals ever produced.
