The Rock revealed that he had a pivotal role in shaping the key storyline for this year’s event back in January during an interview with Will Cain of Fox News to promote WrestleMania XL.

The WWE legend disclosed that he reached out to WWE President Nick Khan at the start of the year with a compelling idea, which ultimately became the narrative unfolding in the lead-up to WrestleMania XL.

“Back in January, I called Nick Khan, my friend, and I said, ‘I have an idea, how about this. Why don’t we take care of the people, give them this story of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns?'” The Rock explained. “Nick said, ‘Great.’ I said, ‘However, a little bit of a twist.’ ‘What’s that?’ ‘What if I became the greatest bad guy of all time?'”

With this proposition, The Rock proposed a dynamic twist to the traditional narrative, aiming to inject new energy and intrigue into the storyline leading up to WrestleMania XL.

“That was the intent and intention,” The Rock concluded, shedding light on the creative direction he envisioned for the event.

As a result of The Rock’s input, fans can anticipate an electrifying showdown as he and Roman Reigns square off against Cody Rhodes and Seth “Freakin’” Rollins in the main event of night one of WrestleMania XL. Furthermore, night two will witness a high-stakes rematch between Reigns and Rhodes for the WWE Universal Championship, promising another thrilling chapter in the WrestleMania saga.

How do you think The Rock’s decision to propose becoming the “greatest bad guy of all time” will impact the storyline leading up to WrestleMania XL?
