Roman Reigns has solidified his status as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Reigns, accustomed to headlining sold-out arenas worldwide, surprised audiences by disclosing the smallest crowd he ever performed for.

Despite hailing from wrestling lineage, The Tribal Chief of WWE had to grind his way through performances in front of modest audiences, earning just double-digit figures per match.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he reflected on his journey, transitioning from those intimate settings to participating in record-breaking sold-out shows like the RAW before WrestleMania 40 earlier this week.

Reigns then shared his humble beginnings, shocking listeners by revealing that the smallest crowd he ever performed for consisted of just two people. Reigns recounted the experience, mentioning it could have taken place in various makeshift venues such as a parking lot or a fairground. Describing the dire situation, he recalled resorting to asking the sparse audience for requests, such as whether they wanted to see particular moves. Despite those challenging times, Reigns emphasized that he’s now in a much better place in his career.

“Oh gosh. Well, it could have been anywhere. We did it in a parking lot, a used cars parking lot, or it could have been in a fairground. The lightest show I’ve ever done was two people, just two people. It got so bad that I was asking people for requests. Like ‘What do you want to see?’, ‘Do you want me to bodyslam him?’. It’s been bad but we’re in a really, really good place right now.”

Fans will always appreciate Roman Reigns for overcoming adversity and becoming the star that he is right now. However, The Rock and Roman Reigns also plan on closing the book on Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. We will have to wait and see whether they will triumph over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at the Show of Shows.
