Tamyra Mensah-Stock, who is an Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling at 68 kilograms, signed with WWE earlier last year. It has been a while since she joined WWE and she finally made her NXT in-ring debut recently.

Tamyra Mensah-Stock’s historic victory at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 made her the first Black woman to win gold in freestyle wrestling and she made it clear she wanted to join WWE. That is why it was such a huge moment for her when she did sign with the company.

Mensah-Stock made her highly anticipated in-ring debut at the NXT live event on March 30, where the Olympic Gold Medalist secured victory over Breanna Covington in singles competition. WWE’s confidence in Mensah-Stock to compete in singles matches right from the start is a promising sign for her future prospects in the wrestling ring.

We will have to wait and see when Tamyra Mensah-Stock will make her way to NXT television and become a big deal, as fans were certainly disappointed by Gable Steveson.
