Wrestling talents typically strive to win championships as a mark of their success and prowess in the ring. However, for Kevin Owens, there’s one title he doesn’t want to reclaim: the WWE Intercontinental Championship. This reluctance stems from a significant reason.

The RAW Superstar has clinched the prestigious Intercontinental title twice in his career, amassing a combined reign of 132 days across both stints.

During a recent appearance on the UpUpDownDown channel for a Fanatics live auction, Owens participated in signing an Intercontinental title replica for the event. While doing so, Owens shared a poignant sentiment about why he doesn’t aspire to capture the championship again.

Owens revealed that his record of two title runs totaling the same number of days as the late Owen Hart’s reign holds special significance to him. He expressed a preference to maintain that tie rather than surpass it.

“This is the main event, it’s the replica championship of the Intercontinental Title I held for the exact same amount of days as Owen Hart. We both had two title runs, they total the exact same amount of days. So I technically don’t ever wanna win this again because I like that.”

Kevin Owens is presently eyeing another championship, the US title, which is currently held by Logan Paul. Owens, alongside Randy Orton, is set to challenge the YouTube star in a highly anticipated triple-threat match at WrestleMania 40 with the aim of dethroning him and capturing the prestigious title.
