The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes surely found out that his arch-rival, The Rock was done playing verbal assaults last week after he laid vicious attack on him at the end of Monday Night RAW, leaving him a puddle of his blood.

The events transpired after Rhodes was confronted by The Final Boss who made an unannounced appearance on RAW last week and vowed to make him bleed in whisper that left everyone buzzing in attendance and all over social media.

The Rock kept his word, reemerging at the end of the show backstage while Cody Rhodes brawled with The Bloodline members, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa and sneaked attack him from behind.

The Final Boss decimated Cody Rhodes with his punches and foreign objects and took the assault outside of the arena. He then revealed a customized ‘Mama Rhodes’ weight belt designed for Cody’s mother, slamming him with it multiple times, and did not stop even after RAW went off the air.

Since then, Rhodes has not spoken a word regarding The Rock’s attack until a day before he potentially meets The Rock and his WrestleMania 40 Night 2 opponent, Roman Reigns. Cody took to his Instagram stories to tease the drop of new merchandise for tomorrow’s RAW, with his American Nightmare insignia covered in blood, symbolizing The Rock’s heinous assault on him.

“tomorrow.”

With days left before WrestleMania 40, we will have to wait and see if The Rock’s attack has left Cody Rhodes questioning his ability to rise above the astronomical odds or fueled his fire even further to Finish The Story by winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
