The Rock was done launching verbal assaults on his rivals on the road to WrestleMania 40 and unleashed the act of ultimate destruction by subjecting Cody Rhodes to one of the most hellacious attacks at the conclusion of Monday Night RAW this week.

At the opening of the show, as The American Nightmare addressed WrestleMania 40 and his plans, The Final Boss made a shocking appearance to confront Rhodes and whispered that he was going to make his bleed, which he also confirmed in his social media post.

The Rock kept his word and returned at the end of RAW backstage as Cody Rhodes brawled with Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. The Great One struck from behind and led the attack all the way out of the All-State arena in Chicago.

From tossing Cody Rhodes onto every corner of the parking lot, landing his huge punches on him to smashing the Prodigal Son with a special belt The Rock made for Mama Rhodes, it was a tough sight to witness as Cody was left wrapped in his own blood with The Rock left standing tall.

Days removed after the heinous assault, The Rock took to his Instagram to drop a series of posts, laying out his first words since he left Cody Rhodes in a puddle of his own sweat and blood and acknowledged keeping his promise which could have gone the other way, but Rhodes left him no choice.

“Tonight, I’m gonna make you bleed- Final Boss.”

“Man of my word- Final Boss.”

“It didn’t have to be this way. But now it’s the only way- Final Boss.”

With The Rock and Cody’s opponent for WrestleMania 40 Night 2, Roman Reigns set to appear on the go-home edition of RAW for the Show of Shows next week, it would be interesting to see how The American Nightmare retaliates after being attacked by The Final Boss days before The Showcase of the Immortals.
