The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony remains a highly anticipated event each year, drawing excitement from fans eager to see which wrestling legends will be honored with induction into the prestigious class. Thunderbolt Patterson is set to be part of the class of 2024 and the person who will induct him has now been revealed.

As previously reported, Paul Heyman is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. This was immediately followed by Bull Nakano getting her long-awaited induction as well.

That was not all as The U.S. Express was announced and perhaps the biggest celebrity name of them all – Muhammad Ali. Thunderbolt Patterson would also be announced shortly afterwards.

In the upcoming induction ceremony for Thunderbolt Patterson, radio personality and acclaimed journalist Scott Spears will have the honor of inducting him. The announcement was made public through The Marion Star, a newspaper based in Marion, Ohio.

Patterson, who made appearances in the Marion area during the 1960s and 1970s, shared his sentiments about the upcoming induction during an appearance on Spears’ ‘Now With Scott Spears‘ show. Patterson expressed his gratitude and excitement.

Patterson: ”I feel good. It’s something that I dreamed about, and if it had not been for the Lord, it would not have happened.

Thunderbolt Patterson expressed his gratitude to individuals like Gerald Brisco, Bruce Prichard, and journalist Mike Mooneyham for their role in preserving his legacy, stating that without them, the induction would not have been possible.

Spears, upon being asked by Thunderbolt Patterson to induct him, expressed his deep appreciation for the honor. Having been friends with Patterson for many years, Spears emphasized that there is no one more deserving of the honor than him.

Spears: ”This is such an honor for me. (Having) been friends with Thunderbolt for many years, and there is no one more deserving of this honor than him. For him to ask me to induct him is one of the great honors I have ever received, and I don’t take that lightly. I have been a fan of pro wrestling over the years, and the WWE has been nothing but great during this process.”


Scott Spears is an acclaimed journalist, having earned accolades such as the Associated Press award. Throughout his career, he has conducted interviews with a diverse array of notable individuals, including Maya Angelou, Betty White, Larry King, Phil Donahue, as well as numerous political figures. We’ll have to see how Thunderbolt Patterson’s WWE Hall of Fame induction will turn out.
