Santos Escobar took out Rey Mysterio last year and gloated about that fact.  However, Mysterio made his comeback this month and faced Escobar on SmackDown this week. However, Mysterio lost following Dominik Mysterio’s interference and Escobar has now justified Dominik Mysterio’s interference.

During the March 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, Santos Escobar battled Rey Mysterio in a match where both the LWO and Legado del Fantasma were banned from ringside. As the match reached its climax, Dominik Mysterio intervened, aiding Escobar in securing the victory.

In a SmackDown Exclusive, Santos Escobar addressed his victory, emphasizing the stipulation that barred both LDF and LWO from ringside. He pointed out that Dominik Mysterio wasn’t part of either faction as he was a member of The Judgment Day. Despite this, they shared a common disdain for Rey Mysterio.

“The stipulation was no LDF, and no LWO. Last time I checked, ‘Dirty Dom’ is Judgment Day. He’s not Legado Del Fantasma, he’s not LWO. But the one thing we have in common is that we both hate Rey Mysterio.;;

When questioned about whether Dominik’s interference diminished the victory, Escobar deferred the response to Dominik himself. Dominik affirmed that a win is a win, regardless of how it’s achieved, and asserted the influence of Judgment Day across WWE’s shows.

“First of all, Byron, a win’s a win. It doesn’t matter how it comes. A win is a win. The Judgment Day runs all. Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, it doesn’t matter. So like I said, a win is a win.”

It remains to be seen if the rivalry between Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio has concluded following Dominik Mysterio’s surprising interference in their match this week.
