Trish Stratus & Lita Hint at Epic Comeback for WWE Title Challenge

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus engaged in an unexpected and prolonged program against Becky Lynch earlier last year, much to the surprise of fans. While she has been absent for a few months, Stratus has recently hinted at her intention to pursue the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Almost a year ago, at WrestleMania 39, Team Bestie, consisting of Trish Stratus and Lita, made a triumphant return to WWE. They joined forces with Becky Lynch to face off against Damage CTRL’s Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY in a thrilling six-woman tag match.

Although this marked Lita’s most recent in-ring appearance, Stratus continued her WWE journey by engaging in captivating feud with Lynch that lasted nearly five months. The rivalry reached its climax at Payback 2023 in September.

Speaking at a Q&A session at For The Love of Wrestling, both Stratus and Lita were asked about the possibility of returning to WWE for one final championship run. Lita raised the idea of challenging for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, currently held by The Kabuki Warriors.

Discussing the potential opportunity, Lita expressed enthusiasm and made it clear she wants to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

“We have touched on that. It’s a great question. I feel like that should be the last question but, only because it’s awesome. But, people like to talk about this imaginary curse of the (WWE Women’s) Tag Titles but I think that if Trish and I were Tag Champs that somehow the curse would magically disappear.”

Trish Stratus then joined in, delivering a message to Kairi Sane and Asuka, making her intentions clear.

“What do you guys think of that?… (Our message to The Kabuki Warriors is) You’re not ready for Team Bestie.”

We will have to wait and see whether Trish Stratus and Lita will make their return to WWE television and challenge Kairi Sane and Asuka for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
