It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! AEW Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the March 16, 2024 episode.

AEW Collision Results (3/16/2024):

The show opens up with “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson making his way down to the ring for the first match of the night as Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcome us. Katsuyori Shibata then makes his way down to the ring next for this dream match.

Singles Match: “The American Nightmare” Bryan Danielson vs. Katsuyori Shibata

The match starts off with Danielson and Shibata engaging in some mat-based wrestling. Danielson then puts Shibata in an arm lock and Shibata does the same. Both men then exchange some kicks before they engage in more technical wrestling. Danielson then stomps on Shibata and kicks his back. Danielson then targets Shibata’s arm and Shibata responds.

Danielson then drops Shibata on the mat and goes for a fujiwara armbar, but Shibata escapes. Both men then try submission moves of their own before Shibata gets a two count. Both men then push each other followed by chops. Danielson then takes Shibata down. Both men then battle on the apron and Shibata send Danielson onto the floor. Danielson then stands on his feet, but Shibata kicks him down. After some back-and-forth, Shibata hits a running kick on Danielson onto the barricades. Danielson then responds with a running dropkick of his own onto the barricades.

Danielson then hits more running dropkicks on Shibata and he follows that up with chops and kicks. Shibata then hits Danielson with some chops and follows that up with a running dropkick and a suplex for a two count. Both men then exchange ankle locks and Danielson hits the German suplex. Danielson then hits Shibata with some knee strikes, but Shibata responds with a Death Valley driver on Danielson for a two count. After some more exchanges, Danielson puts the Labelle Lock on Shibata, but Shibata is able to put his leg on the ropes. Danielson then hits Shibata with some kicks before Shibata hits Danielson with kicks of his own. Both men then have a sit-down face-off before Danielson goes for a Busaiku Knee, but misses. Shibata then puts Danielson in the Iron Octopus, but Danielson gets to the ropes. Both men then exchange roll ups until Danielson manages to get the win.

After the match, both men show respect to one another before Danielson celebrates in the ring.

We then get a video recapping the AEW debut of Mercedes Moné on the Big Business episode of Dynamite. We then get a video of the main event segment between Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Moné as well as a video of Nightingale’s win over Moné in NJPW last year and Moné saving Nightingale from Julia Hart and Skye Blue.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is an AEW TBS Championship Open House Match.

AEW TBS Championship Open House Match: Julia Hart (c) vs. Trish Adora

The match starts off with Julia Hart and Trish Adora having a back-and-forth before the action spills to the outside. Hart then slams Adora on the barricades to get the upperhand. Hart then has Adora locked on the ropes, but Adora looks to power her way out. Hart then has Adora in a submission move in the middle of the ring. Adora then hits some running lariats on Hart and follows that up with a shoulder breaker for a two count. Adora then misses a pump kick and Hart hits Adora with a running lariat. Hart then trips Adora, but Adora responds and gets a two count. Adora then hits Hart with a German suplex for another two count. Adora then misses a back senton and Hart gets back in the match. Hart then hits Adora with a moonsault to score the win.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing Zak Knight and Harley Cameron. Nair asks Knight about “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker’s challenge for tonight. Knight denies the challenge and says he didn’t want to give Parker the home country advantage. Knight then says that the match will happen on his terms.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Daniel Garcia vs. Lee Moriarty

The match starts off with Lee Moriarty coming in hot before both men have a back-and-forth. Garcia then hits a shotgun dropkick on Moriarty to get the upperhand in the match. After some distraction from Shane Taylor, Moriarty hits a dive to the outside to gain the momentum. Garcia then hits a chop block on Moriarty and gets more offense in, but Moriarty responds. Garcia then puts Moriarty in a heel hook and gets the win.

After the match, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard celebrates in the ring with Garcia.

We then get a recap of Darby Allin vs. “Switchblade” Jay White on Dynamite and the Bullet Club Gold’s attack on Allin and The Acclaimed. It is shown that Allin suffered an injury and will not be able to climb Mount Everest. It is also shown that Allin will miss a couple of months of in-ring action.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Aaron Solo vs. “The Bastard” PAC

The match starts off with both men having a back-and-forth early on before PAC stomps on Aaron Solo. PAC then hits his Black Arrow finisher on Solo in quick fashion before putting Solo in a submission to pick up the win.

After the match, PAC grabs the mic and says he is looking for some trouble, but Solo is not the person he wants. PAC then warns Tony Khan to find some trouble or he will do it himself.

We then head to the back, where we see “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson meditating before talking about how grateful he was to wrestle Shibata tonight. Danielson then says he heard Will Ospreay say that he wasn’t planning to die at Dynasty. Danielson also says he learned that Ospreay will be unable to walk in his shoes. Danielson also says he has been on death’s door because of pro wrestling. Danielson also says that despite knowing what Ospreay is willing to do, Ospreay is not ready for what Danielson is willing to do.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer

The match starts off with both men having a back-and-forth before Archer hits a scoop slam on Claudio, but Claudio gets up immediately. Claudio then sends Archer out of the ring. Archer then looks for a choke slam on Claudio, but doesn’t get it. Archer then hits Claudio with a running senton on the floor for a two count. Archer then looks for the DDT, but Claudio responds with a suplex. Archer then stops the momentum of Claudio and looks for a move from the top rope, but Claudio hits an uppercut on Archer. Claudio then hits another uppercut on Archer on the outside before Archer hits a knee strike on Claudio. Archer then hits a chokeslam on Claudio and gets a two count.

Castagnoli then gets back in the match with uppercuts and he follows that up with a cutter. Claudio then hits Archer with a spinning European uppercut for a two count. Claudio then looks for the Giant Swing, but The Righteous make their way down to the ring and attack Claudio to cause the disqualification.

After the match, “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson makes his way down to the ring to make the save. Katsuyori Shibata makes his way down to the ring as well with a steel chair in hand and chases Archer and the Righteous away.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker and Ruby Soho. Nair asks Parker about Zak Knight turning down his challenge for tonight. Parker says he was upset that he won’t be able to get his match tonight with his mom in the crowd and he threatened to find Knight. Soho then refused and says they will not be playing into the hands of Knight. Parker then says he will not fight Knight tonight.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Kyle O’Reilly vs. “The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith

The match starts off with Bryan Keith putting Kyle O’Reilly in a headlock. Both men then have a back-and-forth before Keith hits a DDT on O’Reilly. The action then spills to the outside and O’Reilly lands some kicks on Keith. Keith then kicks O’Reilly before the two exchange some strikes. Keith then chokes O’Reilly on the ropes, but O’Reilly tries to get back in the match and hits a running forearm shot on Keith. O’Reilly then goes for a submission, but Keith reaches the rope. O’Reilly then puts Keith in a triangle choke before kicking Keith. Keith then hits O’Reilly with a headbutt and gets a two count after hitting O’Reilly with a knee strike. After some back-and-forth, O’Reilly hits Keith with a lariat and follows that up with a sheer drop brainbuster for a two count. O’Reilly then puts Keith in an armbar for the win.

After the match, Roderick Strong and The Undisputed Kingdom made their way out to celebrate with O’Reilly.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa. Purrazzo talks about AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm tapping out at Revolution. Purrazzo and Rosa then put Storm and Mariah May on notice ahead of their match.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card Match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card Match: The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo) vs. The House Of Black (Brody King and Buddy Matthews)

House of Black attack the Infantry even before the match officially begins. House of Black then continue their assault on the Infantry on the outside. The match is officially underway and the House of Black continue their assault on the Infantry. Brody King hits a running cannonball senton on Carlie Bravo for a two count. Buddy Matthews then takes Capt. Shawn Dean out with a running kick. King and Matthews then dominate Bravo in their corner. Matthews then kicks Bravo on his back and kicks Dean as well. Bravo then gets a two count with a roll up. Dean then comes in and gets a flurry of offense on Matthews. King then comes in and flattens Dean with a cannonball.

Bravo is then surrounded by the House of Black and Matthews hits Bravo with a kick. King then hits Dean with the Dante’s Inferno, but Bravo breaks the count. House of Black then take Bravo out on the announce table. Mark Briscoe then makes his way out through the crowd with a steel chair in hand and provides the distraction. Dean then pins Matthews and gets the win.

The winners of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card Match, The Infantry!

“The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland then makes his way down to the ring to address the AEW fans.

Copeland starts off by saying he didn’t think he would be in a ring in Ottawa again before thanking the crowd. Copeland then talks about Christian Cage and how his friend Jay is dead. Copeland then brings up his history with the AEW TNT Champion. Copeland also says he came to AEW to retire with Christian and not take his place. Copeland also brings up The Patriarchy taking him out with the conchairto. Copeland then says that he contacted someone and got the spike made. Copeland then vows to end everything on Dynamite and make Christian say, “I Quit.” Copeland then stands tall as the show comes to a close.
