The WWE Universe will witness the return of The Most Electrifying Man in All Entertainment to the squared circle almost a decade later, as The Rock gears up to compete in a full-fledged wrestling match at WrestleMania 40.

The Great One is scheduled to battle in an explosive tag team match alongside his cousin Roman Reigns against the duo of Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 Night 1.

Although there is no official confirmation if that will be the main event for the show, the chances are high considering Seth Rollins’ recent statement at WWE live event, Rhodes mentioning it on RAW last week, and considering the combined star power of the four individuals involved.

If that indeed comes true, then The Rock would become the second WWE superstar to headline WrestleMania in four different decades after The Undertaker.

As noted by Chris Van Vliet on his Instagram, The Rock has been on the last match of the card, first at WrestleMania 15 in the 1990s, WrestleMania 16 & 17 in the 2000s, WrestleMania 28 & 29 in the 2010s, and now, possibly WrestleMania 40 in the 2020s.

Moreover, The Rock is set to appear for SmackDown in Memphis for the third straight week as part of the feud between The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes. We will have to wait and see what happens next as The People’s Champion could be inching close to a major accolade.

Do you think The Rock would lay claim to the aforementioned accolade at WrestleMania 40? Sound off in the comments!
