Vince McMahon Accused of Grooming Female WWE Stars Backstage

There is currently widespread debate and controversy surrounding Vince McMahon, a controversial figure in the wrestling world, as he faces allegations related to trafficking. Among the accusations leveled against him, there are now claims of him engaging in grooming behavior with female WWE stars backstage.

On January 25th, a former WWE staff member named Janel Grant initiated legal proceedings against WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon. The lawsuit alleges that McMahon was involved in incidents of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking, spanning the period from their first encounter in March 2019 to March 2022.

After the sexual trafficking lawsuit, Vince McMahon officially resigned from WWE and TKO Holdings. While speaking on Smack Talk, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell talked about Vince McMahon’s conversations with women backstage in WWE.

“The only sad thing about it is that everybody knew it,” Mantell said. “Everybody. It was common knowledge when I was in WWE what was going on. The girls told me what was going on. It started, of course, with Rita Chatterton, was her name, and that was before it was so well known.”

The former WWE manager added that many female WWE talent left Vince McMahon’s office in tears, as he accused McMahon of grooming the female WWE talent.

“He’d pull them in a room and close the door. Of course, he did that with everybody, the guys too (…) He would get them [women] in there and I guess the term is groom them, I guess. He would get them ready for what might be possibly coming their way, and they would leave the room with tears in their eyes. Some of them, not all of them. He would upset them that badly.” 

Vince McMahon was also censored in WWE 2K24 in lot of sections. This isn’t the first time such accusations were made about McMahon, and it is unlikely to be the last. Only time will tell what will become of Vince McMahon in the end.
