It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! WWE NXT Roadblock will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the March 5, 2024 episode.

WWE NXT Roadblock Results (3/5/2024):

The show opens up with a video package, which is voiced by Lexis King. King and the video package run down the matches taking place on the show tonight. Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to the show and we get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is an Asylum Match.

Asylum Match: Dijak vs. Joe Gacy

The match starts off with Dijak hitting a DVD on Joe Gacy, but Gacy kicks out. Dijak then pounds on Gacy and starts motioning towards a box that has the words “do not open” written on it. Gacy then attacks Dijak from behind and goes to open the box. Dijak then hits a clothesline on Gacy and opens the box and its a jack in a box with a boxing glove attached on it. Dijak then gets punched in the gut and Gacy takes control of the match.

Dijak then hits a moonsault off the cage to Gacy and goes for the pin, but Gacy kicks out. Dijak then tries to put Gacy in a straightjacket. Dijak then tries to superplex Gacy through a table, but Gacy pushes Dijak off the top of the cage and Dijak crashes through the table. Gacy then jumps off the top of the cage and delivers a swanton on Dijak, then goes for a pin, but Dijak kicks out. Gacy then escapes from the straightjacket and Dijak blasts Gacy with a lariat. Dijak then wraps duct tape around Gacy’s eyes and face. Gacy struggles and Dijak hits Gacy with a kendo stick. Gacy then hits a uranage on Dijak. Dijak then pushes Gacy through a door set up in the corner and goes for a pin, but Gacy kicks out. Dijak then hits his Feast Your Eyes finisher, but Gacy pops right back up to his feet. Dijak then hits another Feast Your Eyes for the 1-2-3.

We then head to the back, where The Family is having a chat with Luca Crusifino. Tony D’Angelo tells Crusifino that he has a sharp brain and he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. D’Angelo then offers Crusifino a job and tells him all he has to do is follow what he says with no questions asked and Crusifino agrees.

We then see Fallon Henley have a conversation with Riley Osborne about Thea Hail. Henley tells Osborne why Hail has been acting so weird around him before Blair Davenport comes in and confronts Henley. Davenport tells Henley she needs to keep her nose out of other people’s business and says Hail isn’t Osborne’s type. This would then lead to Henley challenging Davenport to a match and Davenport accepts.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match.

WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) (c) vs. Chase U (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson)

The match starts off with Baron Corbin mocking Andre Chase. Chase then slaps Corbin in the face and Corbin responds with a modified facebuster. Breakker then tags in and hits a German suplex on Chase while Corbin hits a lariat. Breakker and Corbin then hit a pop up gut buster on Chase. Hudson then gives Chase an assist and launches onto Breakker. Chase then hits a number of superkicks and a dive. Breakker and Corbin then double team Chase. Chase then tags Hudson into the match and Hudson clears the ring.

Chase and Hudson then hit their finisher on Corbin, but Breakker breaks up the pinfall attempt. Breakker then jumps off the apron and clotheslines Hudson into the commentary desk. Breakker then goes to Spear Chase, but Chase sidesteps and sends Breakker into the steel steps. Chase then hits a crossbody on Corbin and gets a near fall. Corbin then hits his End of Days finisher on Chase. Chase then gets to his feet and Breakker hits a devastating Spear on Chase to score the win.

After the match, The Wolf Dogs celebrate their victory and Hail is extremely mad about something and just storms off.

We then head to the back, where Carmelo Hayes says he has new handpicked security that will do whatever he wants. Hayes also says he is going to win tonight and go back-to-back at Stand and Delivers. Hayes then says he is going to make history and go on to win the NXT Title.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Shawn Spears vs. Uriah Connors

The match starts off with Spears whispering something into Connors’ ear. Connors then lands a few strikes on Spears, but Spears hits several knees on Connors’ face and follows that up with his C4 finisher for the win.

After the match, Spears grabs a mic and says it takes a certain kind of man to hold up a mirror. Spears also says most people won’t like what they see and they will be forced to be what they are rather than what they want to be. Spears then addresses Ridge Holland and says those words must hit close to home for him. Spears also says Holland is lying to himself when he says he is fighting for his family and the difference between the two of them is that he is not ashamed of what he sees. Spears also says Holland can’t see the same.

Holland’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Spears keeps on taking shots at Holland and Holland goes after Spears. Holland kicks Spears and delivers right hands on him, then tosses him across the ring. Spears then slides the chair he was holding over to Holland. Officials then make their way down to the ring and Holland tosses the chair down on the mat out of anger.

We then head to the back, where we see Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen having a conversation. Briggs asks Jensen if he is sure about challenging Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship next week and Brooks assures Briggs he is. Jensen then says he took Briggs’ words to heart and is taking control of his career. Briggs then wishes Jensen luck before Dijak passes Briggs and points out that he lied straight to Brooks’ face.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c) vs. WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley

The match starts off with a bit of back and forth between all four women. Sane and Paxley then take turns mocking each other before an all out brawl breaks out. Sane then sends Paxley flying with a slingshot head scissors. Sane then distracts the referee while Asuka lands a sliding kick to Paxley on the apron. Asuka and Paxley then face off. Asuka then nails Paxley with Kawada kicks. Sane and Asuka then take turns working on Paxley. Sane and Asuka then double team Paxley and Sane nails Paxley with a right hand to her spine as we see Kiana James, Izzi Dame and Thea Hail yelling at each other in the back as officials hold them apart.

Valkyria then tags in and wears Sane down before she and Paxley double team Sane. Valkyria and Paxley then send both Sane and Asuka out of the ring and hit dropkicks to them through the second rope. Sane then delivers right hands on Paxley’s spine and puts her in an Ankle Lock. Paxley then escapes with an enzuigiri and tags in Valkyria. Valkyria then hits a crossbody off the top rope and nails Sane with a clothesline, then hits Sane and Asuka with a springboard crossbody. Valkyria and Paxley then send Asuka and Sane into the mat before hitting Sane with a Northern Lights suplex. Valkyria then gets Sane up on her shoulders, but Sane escapes. Asuka then tags in and hits a jumping codebreaker on Valkyria. Sane then nails Valkyria and Sane and Asuka then hit a running clothesline-running knee combination on Valkyria.

Valkyria then hits an enzuigiri on Asuka and tags in Paxley. Valkyria then climbs to the top rope and hits a leg drop to Asuka as Paxley holds her in place. Valkyria then looks to hit a spinning back heel kick on Sane, but Asuka moves her out of the way and Valkyria accidentally hits Paxley. Sane then hits Valkyria with a spinning back heel kick and Asuka lands a kick to the back of Paxley’s head. Sane then tags in and climbs to the top rope, then hits her In-Sane Elbow finisher to Paxley with an assist from Asuka to score the win.

After the match, Roxanne Perez attacks Valkyria and Paxley from behind. Perez sends Valkyria crashing into adjacent ring posts shoulder first and places her arm through the second rope before she stomps on it. Officials then check on Valkyria and she is stretchered out of the ringside area.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Fallon Henley vs. Blair Davenport

The match starts off with Davenport working on Henley’s arm. Henley then tries to get back into the match and gets a near fall after hitting Davenport with a facebuster. Henley then hits a clothesline on Davenport over the top rope. Davenport then sends Henley into the steel steps. Davenport then goes for a running knee, but misses and hits the steps. While the referee is distracted. Sol Ruca appears out of nowhere and attacks Davenport. Ruca then sends Davenport back into the ring. Henley then hits her finisher for the win.

We then head to the back, where Thea Hail asks Jacy Jayne to be her tag team partner in a match against Kiana James and Izzi Dame next week. Jayne then claims to be busy and walks away with Jazmyn Nyx, leaving Thea Hail, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson behind.

We then see Arianna Grace tell Gigi Dolin that the only way she would agree to a match against her is on one condition and that is If Dolin loses, then she has to let Grace teach her how to be a lady and Dolin agrees.

No Quarter Catch Crew then make their way down to the ring to address the NXT Universe.

Drew Gulak begins by saying that the world saw Charlie Dempsey is one of the most unique grapplers in professional wrestling. Dempsey then says it is an honor to hold the NXT Heritage Cup and it aligns with his vision of the pure art of professional wrestling. Dempsey also says that the Heritage Cup is not just his, then he hands it over to Gulak. Damon Kemp then says while Dempsey holds the Cup, the rest of the group are also champions. Kemp also says the No Quarter Catch Crew clause allows for any of them to defend the Heritage Cup and Gulak then announces that they are entering the NXT Tag Team Championship Tournament made official earlier today by NXT General Manager Ava. Gulak then says they will win the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT: Stand & Deliver.

William Regal’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Regals says it is delightful to see fans again and says the Heritage Cup means the world to him as it signifies outstanding competitors from the British and European scene. Regal also says every time the cup is defended, it is a tribute to all the British and Europeans who came before him. Regal then tells the No Quarter Catch Crew that he hopes Dempsey defends the cup with the honor and integrity it deserves. Dempsey then tells Regal that he will defend the cup better than he ever could and Regal tells him that he will be watching.

We then head to the back, where Lash Legend is checking on Noam Dar. Dar expresses her excitement to see her and Oro Mensah joins them. Dar then says it’s time for them to move on to bigger and better things as the trio celebrates.

We then see Mr. Stone tell Von Wagner that he is going to challenge Lexis King and he needs to do this alone and Wagner agrees, but is hesitant.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is the WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match.

WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match For Stand & Deliver: Carmelo Hayes vs. “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo

The match starts off with Tony D’Angelo hitting Carmelo Hayes with a shoulder block. D’Angelo then takes Hayes down, rolls through and tosses him across the ring. Hayes and D’Angelo then trade strikes. Hayes then mocks D’Angelo and D’Angelo responds with several gut shots and a headlock toss. Hayes then rolls out to the apron and D’Angelo knocks Hayes off the apron, but Hayes’ security catches him.

Hayes then works on D’Angelo’s tricep with a submission hold. D’Angelo then sends Hayes into the corner and he hits a couple of belly-to-belly suplexes. D’Angelo then hits a spinebuster on Hayes before knocking him down a right hand. Hayes then responds with a couple of boots, but D’Angelo gets Hayes up on his shoulder. Hayes then escapes and hits a cutter on D’Angelo, then nails him with a jawbreaker using the top rope and follows that up with a Codebreaker. Hayes then delivers right hands on D’Angelo and climbs to the top. Trick Williams’ music then hits and Hayes’ security turns around waiting for Williams up the ramp. D’Angelo then takes advantage and hits Hayes with his Forget About It finisher for the win.

The winner and new #1 Contender to the WWE NXT Championship, “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo!

After the match, D’Angelo grabs the mic and apologizes for playing Williams’ music during the match. D’Angelo says since he is a giving Don, he has a present for Hayes. Williams’ music plays again for a second time and security looks up the ramp waiting for Williams. Williams sneaks up on Hayes and attacks him, then destroys Hayes’ security as they get in the ring one by one. Hayes then slides out of the ring and security protects Hayes on the ramp. Williams then stands tall in the ring and celebrates with the NXT Universe as the show comes to a close.
