Last month, Sting and Darby Allin clinched the AEW Tag Team Champions title and successfully defended their belts against The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution. Sting’s sons were present for the ride and now one of his sons has commented on the whole experience at the pay-per-view.

In the AEW Revolution pay-per-view’s main event, Sting and Darby Allin defended their AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks. The match featured various callbacks and emotional moments, providing a memorable experience for the attending fans. Sting and Darby Allin would successfully retain their titles in the end, as he retired undefeated.

As a part of the match, Sting’s sons Garrett and Steve Jr. donned costumes resembling Surfer Sting (Garrett) and Wolfpack Sting (Steve Jr.). They participated in the entrance and executed a couple of stinger splashes as a tribute to their father.

It turns out that Garrett operates a gaming channel where he creates educational videos for Destiny 2. After a month of no new uploads, Garrett posted an update on his channel, explaining the reason for his absence.

“Alright, it’s time for an update and a bit of a reveal. Last night, my dad, Sting, retired from his completely legendary pro wrestling career. My brother and I got to play a small part in his final match as younger versions of his character. I’ve got the American outfit, my brother has the red (or, Surfer Sting and Wolfpack Sting for any wrestling fans!) It was absolutely insane, and by far the coolest night of my entire life. The admiration and love from the fans toward my dad made me even more proud of him than I already am.”

”So, this is obviously why I’ve been a bit absent the past month or so. I was largely focused on looking as good as possible for the show, so lots of hours that would have been spent grinding Destiny were instead spent in the gym haha. All that to say, thanks for being patient. I can’t wait to upload again soon, and I’ll for sure try to do a recap video that goes more in-depth on this weekend.”

Garrett and Steve Jr. joined in the celebration following Sting’s AEW Tag Team Title victory, but their involvement took a dramatic turn when they were attacked by the Young Bucks after the match. This added an extra layer of intensity and anticipation to the Revolution match. Nonetheless, Sting is now enjoying his life after retirement and that is all that matters to him right now.
