Bianca Belair reflected on the historic match she had with Mercedes Mone (known as Sasha Banks in WWE) at WrestleMania 37, where they became the first two African American women to headline a WrestleMania event. Belair emerged victorious, claiming the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in the process.

During an interview with Gorilla Position, Belair was asked about the possibility of Mone returning to WWE. She revealed that she has discussed it with Mone but respects her decision and desires regarding her career path.

Belair expressed her belief in the potential for more magic to be created in the ring, especially considering the representation and greatness they could bring, both as individual competitors and as champions. Despite the interruption to their momentum, Belair remains hopeful that they can resume their journey together someday.

“I’ve had this conversation with her. I don’t know what she wants and what she wants to do. I just want what’s best for her and what she wants to do with her. I’m no one to tell someone what they should do. I will say that we created some magic in the ring at WrestleMania 37.

“I think there was so much more magic to be made, not only with us inside the ring, but with me being champion at the time, and the tag team champions, I saw so much representation that was on the verge of happening, so much greatness that was going to happen. The fact that it was all halted at that point, I would love for it to pick back up one day and take off. We didn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg with what could be done.”

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Mone will be joining AEW at AEW Dynamite Big Business on March 13th.

Belair, on the other hand, continues her journey with WWE as a member of the SmackDown roster, ready to make more history in the ring.
