The high-stakes three-way match between the top-tier stars of AEW surely tore down the house at the historic Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina for the company’s huge spectacle tonight, AEW Revolution with Samoa Joe reigning supreme to retain the AEW World Championship.

The match came about after a decisive winner was not determined a few weeks ago on AEW Dynamite in a match between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page. The no-result bout led to Tony Khan scheduling a huge triple-threat bout between Strickland, Page, and the AEW World champion Samoa Joe.

Moreover, the highly anticipated showdown almost came down to a one-on-one bout after Hangman Adam Page was presumed to be injured in the weeks leading up to the pay-per-view. But it turned out to be a ruse as Page made a huge statement before the high-stakes title match.

All three men brought unique style and offense throughout the entire match. The crowd was firmly behind their favorite, Swerve Strickland who looked to finally make AEW ‘Swerve’s house.’ However, Adam Page displayed his immense hatred for Swerve to the point of knocking him out with multiple shots to his head with the AEW championship title.

The closing moments of the bout saw Swerve Strickland almost winning the bout as he planted Adam Page with a thunderous slam to the mat. But Joe managed to stop Swerve with a half-and-half suplex and tap out Adam Page for the win.

Needless to say, Joe capitalized on a timely opportunity and walked away, still the AEW World Champion much to the disappointment of the crowd.
