AEW President Tony Khan announced that the upcoming February 28 episode of AEW Dynamite will mark Sting’s final appearance on the show.

Khan emphasized that while Sting may make occasional appearances in the future to greet AEW fans, this forthcoming Dynamite will serve as his swan song before retirement.

“He may stop by in the future to say hello to the @AEW fans from time to time, but after next week, we all have to face the reality, it’s over, Sting is retiring after #AEWRevolution and his last ever appearance as a professional wrestler on TBS is this Wednesday in Huntsville.”

Although Sting’s presence may be felt in AEW beyond this episode, his in-ring career will culminate with a momentous showdown at AEW Revolution, where he will team up with Darby Allin to defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks.
