Sheamus was one of WWE’s mainstays but he has been out of action due to injury for long time. While he remains absent from WWE television, Sheamus took it upon himself to hit back at a fan who mocked his desire for 5 star matches in WWE.
The Celtic Warrior has been on the shelf with a bad shoulder injury. The timing of his hiatus is notable because his WWE contract will expire this year, but fans expect him to re-sign with the company.
Sheamus used social media to inquire if fans were longing for the “5-star banger matches” he was renowned for. This ended up getting a negative reaction from a fan, who claimed that they have a preference for characters and stories.

Sheamus decided to keep it short and sweet with his response, as he simply told the fan to go watch soap operas if characters and stories were all he cared about.

As previously reported, Sheamus is expected to return very soon. As for his WWE contract, there is always the chance that WWE could freeze his contract for the time he has been away from television due to injury.
Sheamus is set to return at an intriguing moment, given that The Brawling Brutes have essentially disbanded. Ridge Holland is pursuing his own path in NXT, and Pete Dunne has reunited with Tyler Bate on Friday Night SmackDown. The future plans for the Celtic Warrior upon his triumphant return to WWE television remain to be seen.
