CM Punk remains one of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling, but he has various interests outside the realm of professional wrestling as well. In fact, Punk was once in talks with the writer for ‘The Walking Dead’ novels for a Hollywood project.

CM Punk has already acted in shows such as Heels and Mayans MC, so he is not a stranger to the world of Hollywood. Novelist Jay Bonansinga, renowned for his ‘Walking Dead’ novels, has a relationship with pro wrestling as well and this involves CM Punk.

While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Bonansinga talked about the time he had various meetings with CM Punk over a Hollywood project a few years ago. However, the project ultimately fell through.

“I did have a bunch of meetings with a pro wrestler named CM Punk. That was when my relationship with pro wrestling started. Tat was about five or six years ago. It was pre-Covid. We tried to work on something together… and it fell through like most projects in the film industry fall through.”
