Cody Rhodes is marching forward toward the bright lights of WrestleMania 40 with a huge opportunity to finish his highly acclaimed story and he may have backup to fight his enemies, The Bloodline.

The American Nightmare came to the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, following the events that transpired over the weekend. Rhodes made his choice clear of battling Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title, with WWE CCO Triple H making the match official for WrestleMania 40 on last week’s SmackDown.

This week on RAW, Cody came to RAW to acknowledge the immense support the fans had been giving him and igniting the We Want Cody movement. He then shifted his focus to The Rock, who recently showed a much more mean streak in his verbal smackdown ever since the fans rejected him for WrestleMania.

Moreover, Cody did not forget The Rock slapping him and vowed to hit back when his time came. However, he was interrupted by World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. Rhodes thanked Rollins for coming to his aid against The Rock and Roman Reigns in Las Vegas, while the Drip God endorsed him to finish his story for everyone who supports him including Rollins himself.

Rollins then reminded Rhodes that this year’s match would be a much higher-level affair than last year’s WrestleMania with Reigns being surrounded by even more power, including The Rock. Looking that Rhodes is outnumbered, Rollins offered to fight this war with him against the Bloodline, calling him to be his ultimate shield.

On the other hand, The Rock and Roman Reigns are set to appear on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown after Triple H left The People’s Champion out of the WrestleMania main event in favor of Cody Rhodes.
